One of the best things in life, to me, are the friends you make.
Over the last two years, Ross and I have become friends with several people who are regulars at spring training and are Threshers season ticket holders. They are such good people and we even kept in touch during the off season.
Today, for the first time this season, all our paths crossed all at the same time. It was like thanksgiving in the spring. There were hugs and it was great to see them all again.
That’s what’s special about baseball, as some one once said, “baseball is timeless” and this timelessness allows you to chat with people, and develops a sense of community. It’s not something I’ve ever experienced as the fan of any other sport.
Baseball brings people together. It’s another unique aspect to America’s past time.
